Internship vs. Externship
You may have noticed, but we don't do things like everyone else in the industry. One of the questions we get the most is "What is the difference between an Internship and an Externship?" Well, this may be helpful for you to better understand the differences in these two programs:
Internship:
- Duration: Internships typically last for a longer period, often ranging from a month to several months or even up to a year.
- Depth of Experience: Internships are more in-depth, offering hands-on experience in a specific field or industry. Interns are usually given specific tasks or projects to work on and are considered part of the team.
- Compensation: Internships can be paid or unpaid, depending on the nature of the internship.
- Purpose: The primary goal is to provide practical work experience, build skills, and offer a taste of what a full-time job is like.
Externship:
- Duration: Externships are generally much shorter than internships, often lasting from a day to a few weeks.
